Two different things you can hold. One you earn by turning up. One is a way to chip in if you want to and can. Neither is a ticket — NBN events are free, and they stay free.
VIP
Check in at 6 different meetups and you’re VIP. That’s the whole requirement. It can’t be bought, and it doesn’t expire.
VIPs get the same early access to spots that supporters do — see below.
Supporter tiers
Money from supporters covers the unglamorous things: park permits, supplies, the grill propane, the website. It’s what lets us keep saying yes to free events.

Right now every tier carries the same perks — the difference is simply how much you chip in. We may give the higher tiers their own advantages down the road; if we do, you’ll hear about it here first.
What supporters and VIPs get
- 40% of spots held for you. On events with a capacity limit, 40% of the spots are reserved. When the general pool fills, those are still there.
- The last 24 hours are yours. Inside 24 hours of an event, any spot still open goes to supporters and VIPs.
- Supporter-only events. Every so often we run something just for the people holding the thing up.
- Your badge, on your profile. Shown in the member directory, so people know who’s backing this.
You can cancel any time, and you keep your badge until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Nobody has to pay to belong
Being a member is free and always will be. Events are free. The Facebook group, the Discord, the calendar — free. Supporting adds to what we can do; it never gates what you can join. If money is tight, come anyway. That’s the entire point of this thing.
